  12. The program WINDExxx.EXE, where xxx represents the current version number,
  13. is a self-extracting archive file.  Copy this file into a directory on
  14. your hard disk or onto another floppy diskette.
  15.  
  16. After copying WINDExxx.EXE into its own directory, execute it by entering
  17. WINDExxx at the command prompt.  For example
  18.  
  19.         C:>WINDE212 <enter>
  20.  
  21. for WindE version 2.12.
  22.  
  23. Execution of the archive file will generate WINDE.EXE and several
  24. associated files within the current directory.
  25.  
  26. Execution of WINDE.EXE will start the WindE text editor.  If you intend
  27. to use a mouse with WindE, execute the Microsoft compatible mouse driver
  28. (that was supplied with your mouse) prior to entering WindE.

  30. Press function key F1 for help on using WindE.
